James Rowland is a British-born, New Zealand based writer.
While his writing is predominantly focused on speculative fiction, covering the field from magical realism to sci-fi romps, James also writes more literary fare and has a love of all things comedy.
His stories have previously appeared in places like Aurealis, Compelling Science Fiction and Andromeda Spaceways. He is a two-times Sir Julius Vogel Awards nominee.
When he’s not moonlighting as a writer of magical, strange or futuristic stories, he works as an intellectual property lawyer. Besides writing, his hobbies are reading, stand-up comedy, travel, photography, and the sport of kings, cricket.
